Whether or not you follow astrology, the New Moon is an unmistakeable symbol for new beginnings and cycles. You can use it to tap into a greater energy, or simply leverage the cycle as a time-keeper for setting intentions. Here are 3 simple ways to harness the lunar change to keep yourself moving in a positive direction:

There is no right or wrong to creating your New Moon list. You can list your biggest wishes and your smallest desires – this is only for you. Research shows that writing down dreams and wishes makes them significantly more likely to happen, so get scribbling!

 

2. Set a New Moon intention. By doing it.  
Have a goal you want to accomplish in the next month? Take one step – no matter how small – towards it today. For example, if you plan to start a running program, get your sneakers on and run – even 30 seconds will show your subconscious you’ve started.

 

3. Connect to the New Moon energy. (Or just the bigger picture).

Some people will meditate to ‘tap into the Universe,’ some people will pray, some people will simply take a walk outdoors. Whatever works for you. It doesn’t have to be dramatic. Just take a moment to reflect, connect, and breathe in this new phase.
